shipping guidelines
package handling
- For oversized items like TVs, loudspeakers, etc., the shipping fee will be determined by calculating the volumetric weight multiplied by $8, which is (L x W x H / 166) x $8. This fee is specifically applicable to AIR FREIGHT.
- Not all packages received at Last Mile Global’s facility will necessarily be shipped to Ghana. Should a package be flagged, additional information will be required from the customer to proceed with shipment to Ghana.
- The shipping weight assessed at our facility precedes the weight provided by the US store.
- All packages undergo inspection and reweighing; weights are rounded up to the nearest whole number. For instance, 2.4 kg will be rounded up to 3 kg.
- Shipping invoices are sent within 24 to 48 hours following package receipt.
- All shipping, delivery, and optional fees must be paid online before package shipment to Ghana.
- Packages are shipped every Thursday.
Crating and Fragile Items
- Fragile items are not covered by the complimentary cargo insurance provided by Last Mile Global.
- An optional crating fee is charged for fragile items such as TVs, glass furniture, wine, etc.
- A crate is a protective wooden enclosure designed to safeguard fragile items during transportation.
- Our crating fee includes complimentary cargo insurance against theft, loss, or damage. It also guarantees a free refund or replacement of fragile items if damaged during transit.
- Last Mile Global will inform customers via email or phone if a fragile item received at the US facility requires crating.
- While crating fragile items is optional, Last Mile Global cannot be held responsible for damages incurred during transit if an item is not crated.
- The initial shipping and crating fee is non-refundable.
- To qualify for the complimentary cargo insurance for fragile items, customers must pay for crating.
